Henry was excited.
Today was World Environment Day, what a fantastic way to celebrate! He was hoping to catch up with his dear friend Cindy.Henry had heard that Cindy might be visiting his favourite K Shop. It was a lovely winter's day, and Henry’s shopping list was not too long; he needed to buy three pairs of gumboots, all in varied sizes, for his friends. It did not take long for him to see Cindy patiently waiting outside the shop. They embraced, and off they went. Cindy turned right, while Henry always went left. They chuckled at that, then wandered around the store, checking out all the cool stuff. They looked at the kitchen items. There was a white air fryer. Henry said, "Well, that’s new." Then they looked at the bedding. Cindy liked the warm sheets but didn’t need any; her bed was cosy and warm. They looked at the books; Henry must wait until September to find his friend Fi's new book. They looked at toys and then at clothes. Henry found the gumboots and bought some for the kiddie winkles, but they didn’t have any in his size. They left the Big K and went to Bunnings for a quick lunch. Cindy enjoyed a latte, and Henry liked his pink milk. After that, they had a look around the garden. Since it was World Environment Day, they examined the Australian natives; those plants would really benefit the environment. Henry and Cindy played with some fun things, and Cindy showed him how to dance to the music playing. It was "Dancing Queen" by a famous band. Henry thought Cindy was a terrific dancer. Later, Henry was eager to try out his newly purchased garden tools. he would have to wait until tomorrow.Henry told Cindy about his new typewriter and promised to write as soon as he could. It was nice celebrating World Environment Day with his friend. Thanks, Cindy. It was nice hanging out together. Sleep well after your big day out!
