Jazzie the dove was truly exceptional. Strapped around her neck was a tiny, old-fashioned camera, As she perched on a rooftop in Bunyip town, she scanned the world below.
“Click!” went her camera as she snapped a photo of a bright red-letter box, Next she found her way to the fire station. The shiny trucks, big hoses, and friendly fire crew fascinated her. The firefighters knew Jazzie well.
“Back for more photos, Jazzie?” one of them called out, waving. His name was Captain John.
“Click!” Another perfect shot.Jazzie loved visiting gardens too. She’d drift from flower to flower — yellow daisies, purple irises, pink roses and green cymbidium orchids her favourite —she was always on the lookout for that one special moment.
A blue butterfly landed on a flower petal. Click!
Then a bee buzzed around the yellow daisies. Click! Click! Her photo collection grew and grew. She kept the prints in a tiny suitcase, Jazzie took so many photos, the world is full of treasures, and she didn’t want to miss a single moment. Jazzie had a lovely collection of photos and one day she decided to enter 5 into the Bunyip Agriculture show, there was a local section, the day of the show arrived, Jazzie entered the pavilion and looked at her photos, on her most favourite photo of the fire station there was a large blue card saying first prize, Jazzie was delighted, the prize was a box of film, that was lovely surprise and would be very handy, later that afternoon Jazzie found a new subject to photograph, there were two lovely donkeys, that had been at the show, Jazzie took several photos and thought they would look great as a sketch, maybe Jazzie could sketch as well, she thought she would give that a go too, she made a mental note to get a sketch book and new pencils the next time she went shopping, keep on clicking and drawing Jazzie we love your pictures.
