Chapter 11 Love always Henry♥️A collection of stories Fi’s Hanky
Henry the Bunyip had a busy weekend. It was now Monday, and he was putting his bicycle away when he heard a faint noise in the distance. Curious, he decided to investigate. He found Fi, the little green tree frog, crying. "Oh dear, Fi! What’s the matter?" Henry asked. Fi replied, "I’ve lost my lacy handkerchief; it was my favourite!" Henry said, "Oh, I bet I know where it is. Come with me!" He gently picked up Fi and placed her on his shoulder.Henry then grabbed a big ladder from the shed, leaned it against the big tree, and climbed up high. From the top, he could see a huge nest belonging to Xena the magpie, who was known for collecting people's trinkets, especially shiny jewels. When Henry peered into the nest, he exclaimed, "Blimey! Look at all that treasure!"Inside the nest, he found various interesting bits and bobs: a business card, a white feather, a bit of red wool, a blue gem, and a pink pearl. Among the treasures, he also discovered a red bow and a purple shoe. Then, he spotted a little white lacy handkerchief. "Fi, look! I found your handkerchief!" Fi was happy to have her hanky back. Henry felt happy too. When Xena the magpie returned to her nest, she wasn’t too happy to see that all her trinkets were gone. Henry explained that they didn’t belong to her and suggested they go shopping at an op shop to see what treasures they could find. Xena agreed, excited to make the best sparkling nest yet, and she did!
