In loving memory of Dad – 28 years passed
Dad,
You loved trees.
A tree man from the beginning.
When you were a boy, you climbed trees, especially pine trees, and skun your knee.
When you were older, you cut them in the bush for those to be used as pulp.
You built a house with huge tree trunks as supports.
You planted hundreds of trees along the driveway. Some are still there today.
You made a fire and warmed your hands, boiled the billy and made a cup of tea.
You made planks of Blackwood for our table.
Your policy was, “Cut a tree, plant two more.”We remember you, Dave the Tree Man.Thank you for being a tree man.The man has gone, but his trees keep growing. 🌳❤️
