Henry the Bunyip was buzzing with excitement. He knew that every year, kiddie winkles celebrate Book Week. 2025’s year the theme was Book an Adventure“Book Week event is coming up soon!” he thought. “I suspect the kiddie winkles will be soon searching for your favourite book and making a costume too. Good luck to you all!”Henry loved books. Big books, small books, joke books, books about space, books about animals, books about cooking, books about adventures. His friend Queenie was a librarian. Once, Queenie found a map in the back of a book — but that’s another story…This story is about Henry the Bunyip and the Zooper Zoomer 5000 Rocket. One day, Henry was at his local library, flipping through a book about space. When— suddenly there was a huge BUMP! A book fell from the top shelf and landed at his feet. The title read: The Great Book of Flavour. Henry opened it—and to his surprise, a ZOOPER Zoomer icy treat  fell out! But this was no ordinary icy treat — it was his favourite flavour too. Henry loved the pineapple ones. The Zooper Zoomer  shimmered and sparkled like a shooting star, with colours like a rainbow. Suddenly—ZOOM! The floor shook and WHOOSH! Henry, the book, and Zooper Zooner icy treat  were lifted into the air! When Henry recovered, he found himself inside a rocket — the rocket was made entirely of Zooper Zoomers  and was very colourful! A loud voice echoed: “Welcome aboard the Zooper Zoomer 5000!” It was Captain Raspberry—wearing sunnies and a captain’s cap. He looked very cool indeed. Behind him stood the crew of Flavourites—each with an important job to do, making the Zooper Zoomer 5000 🚀 fly. There was Oscar Orange—he was courageous and always ready for adventure. Then, Priscilla Pineapple, who was quite clever and full of bright ideas. Lenny Lime was calm, cool, and great under pressure. Bob Bubble-gum was always giggling and blowing giant bubbles. Connor Cola seemed to be a chilled-out, terrific bloke; he had headphones on. Faith Fairy-floss was sweet, and sometimes wore her pink fluffy slippers. Belinda Blackcurrant, with her spy gadgets, always kept an eye on what was going on. After introductions were finished, Captain Raspberry said, “We’re on a mission to deliver that Great Book of Flavour you found … we have to get it to the Moon Library!” The Flavourites lined up and saluted. Henry said, “Can I help?” They all said yes. “Use this telescope to make sure we are going in the right direction,” Captain Raspberry said, handing him a silver party hat. Oscar gripped the controls while the rest of the crew strapped in. A countdown echoed through the rocket: “Three… two… one… ZOOM!” The Zooper Zoomer shuddered, and the colours of its icy panels glowed brighter. Henry felt his tummy do a loop-the-loop as they burst through clouds of glittering sugar dust, zooming through the galaxy and dodging popcorn meteorites, flying through clouds of fluffy marshmallow! Henry could see stars and cosmic dust. Then he spotted a tiny planet. Captain Raspberry and the Flavourites landed the rocket. Henry was a little scared, but once the Flavourites told him that Planet Frostonia was safe, he felt a bit better. The moment the hatch opened, a cool breeze smelling faintly of peppermint drifted in. The ground sparkled like it was dusted with icing sugar, and tiny crystal flowers chimed in the wind. Henry’s fear melted away. They looked outside, using Henry’s telescope, and saw that there was a café  nearby, so they set off. Eventually, they reached the Comet Café. The menu looked tasty, with astro bites, cosmic crumpets, lunar lasagne, and asteroid apples, as well as Pluto pops. The space drinks menu was even better — featuring Rocket Fruit Juice and Milky Meteor Smoothies. Henry ordered a Moon Mist mocktail and a delicious Milky Way mousse. The others tried different things from the menu  After finishing their snacks, the group continued on foot to the Moon Library, where the moon librarian, Mr. Milton Moon, eagerly awaited them. Henry proudly presented the Great Book of Flavour to the librarian.  Mr Milton Moon’s eyes twinkled like twin comets. “This book,” he whispered, holding it gently, “has been missing for a thousand moon cycles. You’ve saved more than you know.”Henry was pleased he always liked being helpful but this time he was so happy to save the book The library also had many other books, and Henry took a moment to explore the space shelves before Captain Raspberry called, “Flavourites and Henry, it’s time to go.” Back inside the rocket, he said to Henry, “Press the big red button.” Henry gave it a gentle push…Suddenly, he was back in his library, holding the space book that he had been reading in Moons library, how was he going to return it, maybe this had been a dream? Maybe not, as when Henry checked his pocket, he found a melted Zooper Zoomer icy treat — and instead of dripping, the liquid sparkled like stardust. On the wrapper, words shimmered into view: Have a fantastic Book Week! Thank you for visiting please come again next year! as Henry read it, he swore he heard distant laughter and the faint hum of rocket engines fading into the stars.
