Henry’s Teddy Bear Picnic AdventureIntroducing my friends: Betty Teddy, Tartan Teddy, Valerie Teddy, and Timothy Teddy.

Today the 9th of September is National Teddy Bear Day.

Teddy bears share this day with all the Teddys of the world and Henry's two friends Trish and Bootles, whose birthdays are on the same day,“Happy Birthday, Trish and Bootle!” said Henry.

Henry decided that having a picnic was a good way of celebrating Teddy Bear National Day. Henry packed the picnic basket with yummy sticky buns that he had made, he also made some teddy bear cars, and made sure there was a full thermos of tea.

Henry borrowed Tony the Turtle’s red truck. He needed to stop by the teddy suitcase and pick up Valerie Teddy, Betty Teddy, and Tartan Teddy. They had lived in the suitcase for a very long time, except for Valerie Teddy, who had only just moved into the suitcase house recently. She had escaped from the wicked teddy bear captors! They were a group of rebel teddies who were mean—probably the meanest teddy bears anyone had ever heard of. Fortunately, there were only a couple remaining in the world. The Teddys were so happy to go out on an adventure! Henry then went by the bakery. Timothy Teddy was just climbing out of bed. He was a real sleepyhead! Everybody greeted each other with a big warm teddy bear hug.

Today was a good day for a picnic. The sun was shining. Henry drove to his favourite place in the bush. The tall gum trees swayed gently, and the kookaburras laughed from the branches above.

He spread out the picnic rug, set down the basket of sticky buns, and poured everyone a cup of tea.

The teddy friends enjoyed the sticky buns and laughed loudly. None of them heard the wicked teddy bears complaining they were stuck in the tree, and a kookaburra was pecking their heads. Truly a lovely day was had by the teddies and Henry.

Moral of this story

Love your teddy with all your heart and they will love you back unconditionally
