Mr and Mrs Charlie, Xena and Bob the dog
Mr and Mrs Charlie lived in a nice big tree. They loved living there, and every day they enjoyed visiting their friends who lived in a cosy home nearby. Bob liked going on walks with Xena, and sometimes they visited Mr and Mrs Charlie. One sunny morning, Xena suggested to Bob that it was a perfect day for a picnic. Bob was happy to go for a walk, "I can carry the ball and the picnic basket loaded with oatmeal bikkies and a fluffy rug." Said BobOff they went, and they soon found Mr and Mrs Charlie, there was a shady spot under a tall gum tree, which was perfect for their picnic, they all enjoyed the yummy oatmeal bikkies After their picnic, Bob bounced his ball, it rolled down the hill and vanished into the grass.Bob chased after it, his ears flapping. Xena and Mr and Mrs Charlie looked on as Bob searched for his ball, soon he came back, but the ball was muddy and Bobs mouth was too, after a wash art the tap and a big drink of water too, Xena said it was time to head home, the sun was beginning to set, They said goodbye to Mr and Mrs Charlie and promised they would come again soon It had been a wonderful day—a day of friendship in the bush.
