Aldred Charles Rodger [Henry Rodgers son]1897–1969

Remembering a boy from Bunyip
Anzac Day is a very important day — a time to stop, reflect, and remember.
Aldred Charles Rodger left Bunyip to go to war on 3rd March 1916. He was only 19 years old.
On the Bunyip Cenotaph are the names of many young men who did not return. Aldred was wounded, but he was fortunate enough to come home to Bunyip to recover. His family and friends were so happy when he returned.
Aldred was a carpenter, and many of the homes he worked on still stand today — quiet reminders of his skill, care, and hard work.
Resting in peace, his grave can be seen in the Bunyip Cemetery.Lest we forget #anzacday2026 #lovealwayshenry🌺
