Mother's Day

In Australia, where gum trees grow,
Cockies greet the new day,
Autumn is here, and mornings are cool.
We stop to say hello to our mothers.
To honour Mums,
The kettle or Billy is on; a cuppa will be soon. With sticky buns, coffee, and tea
Mum smiles wherever she is.
Her love is here. She holds our hearts, all stitched together.
Pick flowers, put them in a vase. We say thank you to Mum,
May laughter fill her cup today, tomorrow, and always.
